Understanding Vertigo

Vertigo is the feeling of dizziness, instability or disorientation as a result of moving or turning suddenly. This is often related to disturbances or damage to the inner ear or important nerves located within the skull. These tissues are largely responsible for an individual’s sense of balance or equilibrium. Medical conditions that affect this are known as peripheral or central vestibular disorders.
